About Kibber
Kibber is one of the highest motorable villages in Asia and the base of the Kibber wildlife sanctuary — the best place in India to spot the snow leopard in winter.
Kibber’s whitewashed houses sit on a limestone ridge above a deep gorge. In winter, the surrounding sanctuary becomes the snow leopard capital of India, with local spotters leading guided treks.
In summer you can see blue sheep (bharal), ibex and red fox, and walk across to the Chicham bridge.
