Spiti valley & Kaza taxi service
The cold desert beyond Kinnaur: thousand-year-old monasteries, villages at 4,500 m, fossils, snow leopards and the Moon Lake. We drive Spiti all year round.
About Spiti and Kaza
Spiti — “the middle land” between India and Tibet — is a high-altitude cold desert in Lahaul & Spiti district. Kaza (3,800 m) is its main town, with homestays, cafés, ATMs and the valley’s only fuel pump.
The safest way into Spiti is through Kinnaur on NH-5 — it climbs slowly from Reckong Peo (2,290 m) to Nako (3,660 m) and Tabo (3,280 m) before Kaza, which helps your body acclimatise. The Manali side over Kunzum pass (4,590 m) opens from June to October and is the classic way out via Chandratal.
